On November 12, the celebrated winged hourglass brand held a fabulous launch event in an exclusive venue to present local friends the new Longines Master Collection moonphase timepieces and Macau Lifestyle was lucky to take part. A striking lighted Longines emblem on a bronzy full moon was the compelling greeting to dazzling guests as they arrived. An elegant corridor, evocative of a library, led to one of Le Lapin’s private rooms, where a Longines full moon crowned an exhibition of the new The Longines Master Collection new moonphase models.
Graced by a performance by a contemporary ballet trio and the sound of enchanting live music, guests enjoyed an evening marked by breezy spirits, laughs, and effortless elegance. The Pearl River and Macau skyline sprawling resplendently across the windows made for the perfect backdrop to a joyous evening brimful with familiar faces, suitably illustrating Longines’ firm presence in Macau and reaffirming its commitment to their esteemed local patronage. All the way from Switzerland, Longines CEO Mr. Matthias Breschan connected with guests at the launch event, taking the chance to convey the importance and meaning of the brand’s adage: Elegance is an Attitude.

LONGINES: WATCHMAKING FOR NEARLY TWO CENTURIES
With 190 years of existence, driven by the slogan “Elegance is an Attitude”, Longines represents the essence of timepiece craftsmanship. Founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, the brand is an indisputable reference within the horological universe. Its first factory, located in Es Longines (which translates to “long meadows”) gave its name to the Swiss watch house. Longines early steps into watchmaking consisted of manufacturing pocket watches.
